Durty Bands at the Wedge raised 1084.54p! This puts us well on the way to funding another clean water project in Africa and we will be asking our fulfillment partners to find a suitable site to put this money to work immediately.

Many thanks to everyone who attended, played, supported, donated or volunteered…. especially the bands and DJ’s who made the night so special: Curl, Fake Empire and Paul Groovy and The Pop Art Experience plus DJ’s Mr Foot, The Chillmoister and Jonty. Huge shouts to Billy Steere for the graphics, Millie for running the Instagram competition, Frankie for her help early doors and setting up the merchandise, Cristian for help in the venue and shooting the event video (available online soon) and to Maz, George and Jo for sterling work on the merch stall plus of course Mr V for the get out.

Massive thanks also go to the Wedgewood Rooms, who provided superb production for the bands and months of publicity for the event, and a special mention to Kelly Hickman who promoted the event online at her own expense.

It’s worth pointing out some further acts of generosity, all of which increased the total total income from the event. As well as helping out, all of the event volunteers paid to get in. All performers played for nothing (with two members of Curl travelling from the South of France to play), and both Fake Empire and Curl donated all the proceeds of their merchandise to the cause! Local businesses Garbo’s Head and the Wedgewood Rooms very kindly provided competition prizes and there were also a number of generous online donations from supporters who could not attend – many thanks to you all.
