We’re delighted to announce that we have received a generous corporate donation from Denmead insurance broker Stride Limited, which will fund the entire cost of a Protected Spring to be built in rural Uganda later this year.
Managing Director Richard Lovegrove said “We have made this donation on behalf of the directors and staff of Stride Limited as we can see the immediate and long lasting impact a fresh water spring will have on the community around it. We support the aims of No More Durty Water to provide sustainable sources of clean water and we can see how our money will be spent.”
George Spence, Chairman of the Trustees of No More Durty Water, thanked Richard and his colleagues for the donation, saying “I’d like to send our wholehearted thanks to everyone at Stride for the donation, which will go directly to fund the construction of a Protected Spring in South West Uganda, a region of acute water poverty. This spring will benefit so many in the community, not only providing the obvious health benefits of clean water, but also freeing people to be able to work and earn and young people to enter education and learn. The constant search and time-consuming collection of water seriously limits
these opportunities in the region so this donation will have a substantial positive impact in a number of ways.
Site surveys sites will take place in May & June 2019 and the chosen site of the Protected Spring will be dedicated to Stride Limited.
