Southsea to Host No More Durty Water Fundraiser.

Our friends from Durty Sound System are putting together another FUNDRAISER for us.

With the money raised from this event, and another in Brighton, will allow us to work with Calcutta Rescue in Kolkata
Calcutta Rescue has moved into the field of arsenic mitigation in response to the current crisis whereby, as a result of a drop in the water table, the drinking water supply for millions of people in West Bengal has become contaminated with arsenic, a naturally-occurring and very toxic substance.
We are hoping to buy a water filtration unit, which filters out the arsenic and supplies clean drinking water.

A themed party based on the Robert Aldrich 1967 classic war film The Dirty Dozen.

The Durty Dozen, the most twisted, anti-establishment bunch of music junkies your ever run into!

We have trained them, excited them and armed them with fantastic records to execute their mission.

A Three room party at The Fat Fox to raise money for No More Durty Water

Yes Yes Y’all we are taking over all over the Fat Fox, and the Atrium upstairs for a party you’ll never forget.

Drink Offers & DSS Lucky Dip, with great prizes.

The party kicks off at 6pm till late.
Plus as its a bank holiday weekend, no school the next day.

Tickets are a recession busting £3.

This event is not about glorification of war. Just the first of many theme nights to add to the fun.

War, Politics, Pollution and the Banking System are directly contributing to this horrific situation.

This event is dedicated to the people who have lost their lives fighting in wars and revolutions.

The Dirty Dozen [Film]

The Dirty Dozen was also one of the first movies to show the darker side of war – that the best soldiers are often society’s outcasts, the sociopaths and misanthropes who kill and rape. War is not civilized, and there’s no place for order or manners amidst the carnage of a battlefield.

About a suicide mission, the army has decided to use 12 criminals who are either awaiting the execution of a death sentence or who have been condemned to spend at least 20 years in prison. If the “volunteers” survive and distinguish themselves, their sentences will be commuted.

Nyakinengo Spring Operational

The Nyakinengo protected spring serving the community, who have inscribed our name on to it.
Thanks to everyone who donated money and time to make this happen.
Wow! Can’t put into words the feeling of this fantastic achievement. I bet the water taste wonderful.
Think we need to look into better containers for the fresh water.

Protected Spring #3

What a way to end the year. Our 3rd protected spring is in operation. Built  in association with Bridge Of Hope Children’s Ministry in West Uganda.

This was built using money from Durty Sound System Block Party – No More Durty Water Campaign fundraiser. Which was held on Saturday 24th November at The Wine Vaults in Southsea, Uk.

The fundraiser raised a fantastic £1,489.95. We would like to thank everyone who attended, played and worked at this fabulous event. And a massive thank you to the Wine Vaults for having us and letting the Durty Sound System transform the venue.

It is so amazing that this community has this facility already. No waiting around for its official opening in February.

Just shows what WE can do to improve lives with clean water, and how quick you can make a difference to a community. We are already looking into our next water project and can’t wait to get stuck in. Thank you for your time and donations.

CamperJam & Durty 45 Bus

We would like to thank our friends at Durty Sound System for taking their Durty 45 Bus to CamperJam.

They were there playing 45s in the food & drink field. Raised some cash, sold some t shirts, and spread the word about No More Durty Water.

A big thank you to everyone at Camper Jam.

Check out the bus via Durty Sound System. Anyone who would like any ‘viva durty 45 bus’ t-shirts designed by Tristan Savage. Online sales coming soon.

There next stop is V-Dub island on the Isle of Wight in August.

The money from these events will go on a water project we are doing with the Bridge Of Hope Children’s Ministry in Uganda.

Protecting Spring #2 Operational

We are very pleased to announced that our second Protected Spring in Uganda is now fully operational, giving more people clean water. Amazing.

Following on from our last post, you can see the spring taking shape.

The excavation was quite difficult as they needed to dig very deep as you can see by the sides.

A really great achievement for No More Durty Water to give this community clean water. This would not happen without the dedication of the Bridge Of Hope Children’s Ministry, to identify the location and the resources in Uganda.
